How quickly is the dose increased?

It is important to follow this titration regime to reduce the impact and likelihood of side effects such as vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, and abdominal (stomach) pain.

Your prescriber will start you on a low initiation dose of 0.25mg, increasing

it every 4 weeks until you reach the maintenance dose of 2.4mg. This is

called the ‘titration regime’ and describes the gradual increase of the dose

over the months that you take Wegovy until you reach the maintenance dose.
