Medication isn’t for everyone. The medical consultation form is designed to ensure that only those who are eligible and suitable for medication are prescribed it. However, some people might find that, after trying medication, they find it isn’t right for them. That’s ok, there’s no shame in this. Everyone is different.
Once you are on the programme you will be emailed every month with a link to the monthly check in. This is an opportunity for you to provide feedback on our progress, your weight loss and how you are finding it on the medication, including any side effects you might be experiencing. This is also an opportunity for you to tell us if you would like to stop your medication. Weight loss medication can be stopped at any point – you don’t need to be titrated down in the same way you have to be titrated up. You should notice your appetite will return after 1 to 2 weeks.
Remember that if you do stop medication for more than 2 weeks, then if you wish to resume it you won’t be able to simply start back on the dose you were previously on. You will need to start again on the starting dose of 0.25mg and follow the titration regime up to your maintenance dose.
