A very small number of people find they feel tired while on weight loss medication. In our experience this tends to be because they aren’t eating enough and so they have low energy levels. Remember that it’s really important to still eat a good, balanced diet while on weight loss medication. Other reasons might be that someone has started exercising more than they previously had and that the medication changes the way the body controls blood sugar and this takes some getting used to. Your body may need some time to adapt to these changes and the lower energy intake.
Here are some tips you can try to help manage your fatigue:
Increase your water intake
Aim for at least 2 litres of fluids daily, but avoid caffeine and energy drinks.
Eat Enough
Make sure you're eating enough to meet your daily energy needs.
Carry some healthy snacks for when your energy levels dip.
Stay Active
Increase your physical activity in short bursts, as it can boost your energy and productivity.
